Tweed Business Awards Success: Celebrating Outstanding Client Wins

There’s something special about the Tweed Business Awards. Beyond the trophies and applause, these awards shine a light on the grit, growth, and determination behind every successful business.

This year felt particularly rewarding — and highly competitive.

With more than 160 entries across the region, and an independent judging process conducted by Business NSW, the calibre of businesses at the 2026 Tweed Business Awards was exceptionally high. Judges themselves noted the strength and quality of submissions this year, making every finalist achievement even more significant.

A Standout Year at the Tweed Business Awards

I had the privilege of working alongside six incredible clients who were named finalists across nine categories at the Tweed Business Awards. Together, they achieved six wins and two Highly Commended awards — an outstanding result and a testament to the strength of their stories and the impact of their work within the community.

What stood out most wasn’t just the wins, but the journeys behind them.

Each of these businesses has faced challenges, adapted under pressure, and continued to push forward with clarity and purpose. Being trusted to help shape and tell those stories — especially for recognition at the Tweed Business Awards. This is the part of my work I value most.

The Stories Behind the Wins

Here’s a glimpse into the calibre of businesses recognised this year:

  • A hairdressing business redefining the salon experience for clients with naturally curly hair, combining specialist expertise with education and personalised care. After losing their premises due to Cyclone Alfred, their determination to rebuild and continue serving their community is nothing short of inspiring.
  • A mechanical business that has grown from a one-person mobile operation into a highly respected, multi-person team. Known for honest advice, technical expertise, and a genuine commitment to helping their customers, they’ve built trust the old-fashioned way — by consistently showing up and delivering.
  • A construction company focused on creating spaces where people and communities thrive. Their reputation is built on strong relationships, practical problem-solving, and a willingness to take on complex projects others avoid. They’re well-known for giving back generously to the local community.
  • A forward-thinking bookkeeping and advisory firm recognised for excellence in both professional services and small business. By turning financial data into clear, strategic insights, they empower their clients to make confident decisions and achieve sustainable growth.
  • An osteopathic clinic experiencing rapid growth, expanding its facilities from 2 rooms to 5 to meet increasing demand. With a focus on evidence-based care and a genuinely client-centred approach, they are helping people move better, feel better, and get back to doing what they love.

Why Strong Stories Win

These wins at the Tweed Business Awards are more than accolades. They are recognition of resilience, innovation, and the courage to keep moving forward.

They also highlight something many business owners overlook: behind every successful award submission is a well-crafted story. One that clearly articulates not just what a business does, but why it matters, how it has evolved, and the impact it creates.

That’s where the real magic happens.
