How I work
9 easy steps to successfully completing your writing project…
- Let’s have a chat
- I’ll provide you with a proposal/quote
- You provide your input
- I do some research (where required)
- I send you the first draft
- You provide feedback
- I send you a second draft (if needed)
- You provide feedback (if needed)
- The final copy is delivered
Getting to know you…
Firstly, we need to have a chat about your copywriting project and agree on what it is you’re looking for. Then I can provide you with a firm quote that includes all costs and an agreed delivery timeline.
A quote is a quote. The price I give you upfront is the price you’ll be charged, provided there are no changes in direction after the initial brief is agreed to.
A team effort benefits everyone
You know your business and your customers/clients better than anyone. I need to tap into your knowledge. This is done through a series of questions… don’t worry, they won’t be too hard – and I promise it will be over as quickly as possible.
Before I can start writing, I need to understand:
- You – and what makes you tick
- Your business – where you’ve come from & where you’re heading
- Your product or service
- Who your customers are
- What your customers want or need from you
- The message you wish to convey
- The outcomes you’re looking for
Ideally, I’d like to read through any relevant information, including your current marketing materials, and then I may have a few further questions for you.
I will then work on the ‘first draft’, which technically will undergo several drafts and a range of alterations prior to delivering it to you.
Sometimes, the ‘first draft’ is all we need to do. However, I will undertake two revisions of the text, if required, to produce copy that will deliver the outcomes you’re looking for.
What’s in it for you?
Your writing project is much more likely to achieve the desired outcomes if we work together to specifically target your customers with persuasive copy. More persuasive copy means your audience are more likely to relate to and respond to your marketing, which equals more sales and more income for you.
You can also build strong, long-term customer relationships through regular delivery of well-written marketing materials. The result is better-informed customers who buy more often and, if they’re happy, provide you with constant referrals. Everybody wins!
